Smart Styles’ intelligence recognises complex structures within tables, texts and other objects and does all the hard work for you in no time. And, if you decide to modify a Smart Style, the entire document can be updated with just a simple action. Smart Styles are stored in one or more InDesign libraries which can be shared easily with other users. Text styles and swatches used by Smart Styles are automatically created when they are not available in the document, so sharing and reusing styles has never been easier. Define or apply text, object and table styles via drag-and-drop

First, define your Smart Style. This is as simple as dragging a formatted page item into a Smart Styles library. Smart Styles will analyze the formatting of the object, determining repeating patterns of style changes, and stores it. To apply the complex formatting to another page item, simply drag-and-drop from the library onto the object(s) and you’re done!
Share, update and reuse formatting
Smart Styles’ intelligent programming recognises complex structures within tables, texts and other objects and does all the hard work for you. And, if you decide to modify a Smart Style that’s already been applied, the entire document can be updated in a simple step.

Add spreadsheet functions to InDesign tables
Smart Styles doesn’t stop at formatting. It can also help you by adding formulas to InDesign and InCopy tables and by sorting rows. You can use formulas such as Sum, Round, and Average to calculate totals, and use up to three sort criteria according to your specific language requirements.

Smart Mover
Automate your workflow
In any organisation, resources can be saved by automating repetitive tasks. Smart Mover connects to WoodWing Enterprise and Elvis DAM, and offers a graphical user interface for quickly setting up automated and scheduled tasks.
Options available include turning incoming e-mails into editable stories, importing and converting wire text and images, automatically creating issues and purging old files. But publishing content to websites can also be automated, as well as working with RSS feeds, Twitter and more. The possibilities are endless.
Multi Platform
Smart Mover has a Manager component and a Services component. The Services component runs silently in the background, performing the tasks you have created. Using the Smart Mover Manager application from your desktop you can configure its operations.
The Smart Mover Services application supports all major modern platforms: Macintosh, Windows, and Linux, giving you the greatest flexibility for deployment. The Manager operates on both Windows and Mac.
Smart Mover is made up of Tasks that are organised into Processes. With every release these Tasks feature new additions.
Some examples of what tasks can do:
- Move, copy, transform (XSL), (un)zip, purge or rename files
- Embed XMP information, extract metadata
- Move content in and out of Enterprise, Elvis DAM or ftp folders
- Publish to Facebook, Twitter, websites
