Creative Folks Brings dataplan to Australia

Press Release - Sydney, 9th November 2010

dataplan, well-established provider of software for the planning of print publications, has appointed Creative Folks Pty Ltd as a key reseller of their flagship product JournalSuite with JournalDesigner.

JournalDesigner is a powerful solution for the planning of print publications. When planning the content of an issue, it takes into account important elements, such as ad-customer requirements (exclusion of competitive ads, surrounding editorial, etc.), and technical specifications (coupons, stickers, colour schemes, etc.) as well as editorial preferences. These factors are brought together and evaluated as an issue moves through the planning stages and is brought to press.

In July 2010 dataplan announced that JournalDesigner was now fully integrated into WoodWing’s Content Station.

“Our objective is to ensure that all our customers using both Enterprise and JournalDesigner can further improve their editorial production workflow and benefit from most advanced technology. For all WoodWing users who don’t use a flatplanning system yet, it’s a safe investment. JournalDesigner is a very innovative and easy-to-use solution for creating maps for magazines,” said Dr. Wolfgang Zetsche, CEO of dataplan. “Creative Folks are WoodWing’s premier dealer in Australia and New Zealand so naturally we are very excited to be working with them.”

The combination of the dataplan and WoodWing products will provide publishers throughout Australia and New Zealand with improved productivity and access to a more streamlined publishing workflow.

“The addition of JournalDesigner to our product portfolio provides the missing piece of the publishing puzzle,” said Matthew Green, Managing Director of Creative Folks. “Dataplan’s commitment to develop planning plugins for Content Station allows us to bring a best-of-breed system to the market place. Our clients can plan, monitor and publish their content from one familiar interface.”

Creative Folks will be demonstrating JournalDesigner at the upcoming WoodWing World Tour in Sydney. To register for this event please click on the banner at the bottom of this post.
